(NLDO) – Although he still has nearly 4 years of work left, the Director of Quang Binh Department of Tourism has expressed his desire to retire early to facilitate the process of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus.

On February 8, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, said that there are currently 12 key provincial and district-level officials under the management of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee who have expressed their wish to retire early.
This move aims to implement the policy of reorganizing the political system in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee, while also creating opportunities to supplement and develop a team of young cadres.
Of the 12 officials who requested early retirement, 5 held positions of heads of provincial departments, agencies and branches (of which 2 were members of the Provincial Party Committee); 4 were deputy heads of provincial departments, agencies and branches; and 3 were members of the Standing Committee at the district level.
Many officials, despite having a long working period, have proactively applied for early retirement, demonstrating their sense of responsibility and setting an example in the process of streamlining the administrative apparatus. Notably, in this list are Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy - Director of the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh province, who applied for early retirement 45 months (equivalent to nearly 4 years of work); Mr. Phan Cong Khanh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, who applied for early retirement 48 months; Mr. Nguyen Canh Tuan - Head of the People's Mobilization Committee of Minh Hoa District Party Committee, who applied for early retirement 46 months.
In addition, there are two cases of Provincial Party Committee members requesting early retirement due to health reasons: Mr. Nguyen Hue - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh province; Nguyen Thanh Lam - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bloc of Agencies of Quang Binh province.
The early retirement of officials is considered a positive step, contributing to the effective implementation of the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus, towards the sustainable development of Quang Binh province. At the same time, there is room to supplement and develop young officials.
