Through excerpts on the theme of youth and youth, the Theater hopes to inspire the younger generation to follow in the footsteps, preserve and spread the quintessence of national culture.
According to the representative of the Vietnam Tuong Theater, "Lyrics - Voice of Youth" will bring a contemporary perspective when combining traditional Tuong with new stage elements, bringing a modern breath while still maintaining the traditional spirit. At the same time, the audience will have the opportunity to experience the Tuong art exhibition space for free at Hong Ha Theater.
The highlight of the program is excerpts from classic plays with the participation of artists from the Traditional Troupe - Vietnam Tuong Theater.
Specifically, the excerpt from the historical play “Tran Quoc Toan goes to war” recreates the image of Tran Quoc Toan - a heroic young man of the Tran Dynasty, with a strong patriotism and determination to fight against foreign invaders.
Next is an excerpt from the historical play “The Legend of Muc Pond”, which tells the story of a student of the Confucian scholar Chu Van An, the son of King Thuy (the river god), who used water from his teacher’s inkstone to create rain. Thanks to the heavy rain, the drought-stricken crops in Thanh Dam were saved…
Finally, an excerpt from the modern play “Mother’s Love”. Here, an emotional encounter between Mr. Le - a staunch revolutionary soldier and his old mother in dire circumstances is recreated.
The excerpt "Mother's Love" not only depicts the mother's noble sacrifice, but also honors the indomitable revolutionary spirit, expressing great patriotism that surpasses that of blood relations.
