Ho Chi Minh City: The two dragon mascots at the entrance to Nguyen Hue Flower Street, District 1, will be kept until the end of January (March 9) to serve the people and visitors.
According to the Nguyen Hue Flower Street Organizing Committee, at 9pm today (the 5th day of Tet), the decorations on the street will be removed after more than a week of opening. Unlike previous years when the entire flower street was removed, this year the two dragon mascots at the entrance gate, called "Luong Long Trieu Lien", will be kept for visitors to enjoy.

The pair of dragons are designed to curve, intertwine, and symmetrically on the flower street, each shape is more than 100 meters long, with a head circumference of more than 2 meters. In addition to setting a record for the size of the zodiac animal that has ever appeared on Nguyen Hue flower street, the dragon mascot is designed to be environmentally friendly as more than 90% of the materials used come from rattan, bamboo, and bamboo fan blinds. Since the flower street opened on February 7, the pair of mascots has attracted many people and tourists to visit and take pictures.
Previously, during the 8 days of opening to serve the people and tourists, Nguyen Hue Flower Street attracted more than 1.2 million visitors. In addition, about 10 million images related to the flower street were updated on the media, social networks... Due to many large and complicated scenes, the cleanup work was extended by one day, from 6am on February 15 to 6am on February 16 (January 7).
This year's Nguyen Hue Flower Street takes the theme of Spring of Love, Tet Reunion , and is divided into three sections with large and small landscapes including the themes of Homeland Origin, Crossing Rivers and Seas, and Growing into Integration. This is the 21st year the flower street has been held during Tet in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
