Changing the mindset to reach out to the ocean
Most of the central cities, economic, financial and tourism hubs in the world are located by the sea, on islands and always pay attention to the benefits from the sea right from the planning and organization of space development. The countries with breakthrough development today are mainly coastal or island countries, all have effective, bold and ambitious strategies for exploiting the sea and ocean.
In Vietnam, coastal cities are increasingly invested in and developed in the direction of expanding their scale, associated with expanding tourism activities, increasing industrial and population accumulation to form a dynamic area for marine economic development. Among them, the most important are the "locomotive" cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Ha Long (Quang Ninh)... associated with tourism and services; Hai Phong associated with ports and coastal industrial parks; Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) associated with oil and gas exploitation and services...
Central coastal provinces are continuously investing and upgrading infrastructure, connecting directly with the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
In order to develop according to the set orientations, recently, the coastal cities of the Central region have shown some changes in their perspectives and development strategies through focusing more on infrastructure investment (highways, high-speed railways); encouraging and creating conditions for economic sectors to participate in ecological development, scientific exploration, community tourism, high-quality accommodation areas in coastal areas; building, developing, diversifying products, product chains, and international-class brands on the basis of biodiversity conservation, promoting the values of unique natural, cultural, and historical heritages of regions, connecting with international tourist routes to make Vietnam an attractive destination in the world.
Nha Trang - towards an international coastal urban model
Among the coastal cities in the Central region, Nha Trang is always considered a "special" destination because few localities possess a beautiful coastline, combined with many rivers rich in cultural character, with much room for development like this city. According to the development orientation, Nha Trang City will aim to become a smart urban area with an identity on par with the Asian region, a coastal city that attracts visitors and has a livable environment, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system.
Recently, Libera Nha Trang has emerged - the first and only coastal urban area right in the heart of Nha Trang City (located on Tran Phu extended street), with a scale of up to 44 hectares, owning 3 private beaches and a series of unique and unprecedented amenities, creating a new international-class destination, contributing to raising the level of Nha Trang tourism in the future.
This project has shown a formula for developing urban areas of coastal cities based on the maximum exploitation of three important pillars linked to the sea:
The first is the multi-functional beach apartment model that can be used for the owner's personal purposes or for short-term rental business, helping to increase profits for buyers, while maximizing the exploitation of natural conditions and the typical tropical marine climate of the region.
The second is to create cultural and artistic spaces based on the indigenous, unique and heritage maritime cultural values of the localities.
Third is the integration of modern, convenient entertainment and recreation activities based on the harmonious combination of natural landscapes and artificial infrastructure, aiming to bring new experiences to both tourists and local people.
Libera Nha Trang offers a luxurious, global cultural experience right in the heart of the city.
In fact, in recent years, Nha Trang has been known to domestic and international tourists as an attractive destination with many high-class accommodation areas, entertainment areas and many unique and attractive services associated with the sea. In addition, the city also focuses on projects to develop new urban areas to improve the quality of life of the people, as well as attract new residents to live and invest, participating in local economic development.
With breakthrough models in space development, combined with super-connected infrastructure leverage with the HCM - Nha Trang expressway in just 4 hours (after April 30, 2024), the future high-speed train in just 2 hours, Long Thanh airport in operation, in the not too distant future, Nha Trang will not only be the leading attractive destination in Vietnam but will also have important changes to reach out to the ocean, approaching the world in the true sense.
