(HTV) - To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, this morning, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Command organized the 2025 training launch ceremony and launched the "Lightning Speed - Determined Victory" peak emulation campaign.
Attending the ceremony were comrades:
- Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
- Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
- Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 7.
- Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Speaking at the implementation of the training mission plan for 2025, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, emphasized: training focuses on a number of key contents such as: Strengthening the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects over the Army; implementing well the motto "Basic - Practical - Solid", 03 viewpoints, 08 principles, 06 combinations, ensuring "3 realities" in training; attaching importance to synchronous and in-depth training, focusing on practice, proficiently using existing weapons and technical equipment, especially new technical equipment.

The Commander of the City Command also requested the forces participating in the parade and marching in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day to organize training according to plan; ensure discipline and exemplary behavior, affirming the strength of the Army in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Praising the achievements and efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City armed forces throughout history, the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army requested the Ho Chi Minh City Command to continue to closely coordinate and cooperate to well implement political tasks in the coming time. 
The parade, gun dance performance, martial arts performance... with the participation of more than 3,000 officers and soldiers of the City's armed forces
With the goal and requirement of completing the mission in 2025, the City's armed forces launched a peak emulation campaign with the theme "Lightning Speed - Victory" taking place for 79 days and nights; starting from March 1 to May 19, 2025. The ceremony ended with a team review, gun dance performance, martial arts performance... with the participation of more than 3,000 officers and soldiers of the City's armed forces.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Central Military Commission and Ho Chi Minh City encouraged officers and soldiers to participate in the 2025 training and visited the models and training tools of the City's armed forces.
