Celebration of the 135th anniversary of the province's founding and opening of the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Thai Binh province

On the morning of March 21, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the province's founding (March 21, 1890 - March 21, 2025) and opened the Thai Binh Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival on March 21, 2025.

135 years ago, on March 21, 1890, the Governor-General of Indochina issued a decree establishing Thai Binh province, marking the official event of Thai Binh becoming a centrally-run administrative unit. After 135 years of construction and development, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with a tradition of patriotism, the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh have united and united in the cause of fighting, building and developing their homeland - a heroic land, rich in cultural identity, constantly innovating and developing.

The speech presented by Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The people of Thai Binh are proud to be those who have contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural, civilized, patriotic and revolutionary traditions of their homeland. This is the land that has given birth to, nurtured and sheltered many famous and talented people, contributing to making their homeland and country famous. Throughout the history of building and defending the country, Thai Binh has always had outstanding heroes and celebrities in many fields. At the same time, this place is also famous as a land of studiousness and mandarin examinations; in nearly 10 centuries of feudal mandarin examinations (1075 - 1919), Thai Binh had more than 120 intellectuals passing the imperial examinations. The cultural tradition is also clearly demonstrated through the rich system of historical and cultural relics, imbued with national identity, preserved to this day.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Over many generations, from the early days of land opening to today, the people of Thai Binh have been persistent and resilient in overcoming natural disasters and enemies, joining hands to preserve and build this land to become stronger and stronger. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh visited and worked in Thai Binh 5 times - a great pride and a strong source of encouragement for the whole province to constantly strive to rise up. Nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process, the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh have taken many creative and dynamic steps, achieving important achievements in all fields, creating a foundation for the province to continue to develop rapidly and sustainably. This is a clear demonstration of the correct leadership of the Party, the Provincial Party Committee and government; the efforts and solidarity of generations of cadres, party members and people of Thai Binh, in the province as well as across the country.

Entering the new era, Thai Binh province continues to seriously reorganize the political system and reorganize administrative units in the spirit of innovation. The entire Party, army and people of Thai Binh are determined to promote the traditions of the homeland, culture, patriotism, revolution, bravery and intelligence; strongly innovate thinking, improve leadership capacity; promote all potentials, strengthen regional linkages and cooperation; determined to build the province to develop rapidly and sustainably, on the basis of imbuing the ideology of "New era, era of striving for strong development and prosperity of the nation", contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

At the celebration of the 135th anniversary of the province's founding (March 21, 1890 - March 21, 2025) and the opening of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Thai Binh province, a special art program with the theme "Aspiration to reach out to the sea" included three chapters: "Spiritual land - talented people", "Thai Binh in the flow of a thousand years" and "Aspiration to reach out to the sea" with the participation of nearly 150 professional and non-professional actors from Thai Binh Cheo Theater, the Provincial College of Culture and Arts and art troupes inside and outside the province; a harmonious combination of traditional and modern art, elaborately staged, the program brought together many famous songs written about Thai Binh. Not only honoring the historical, cultural, patriotic and revolutionary values ​​of the homeland, the program also strongly inspires the young generation - fostering creativity, pride and strong will to continue and promote the glorious values ​​that our ancestors have worked hard to cultivate, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland./.
