The Dao Thanh Y's initiation ceremony is a social custom and folk belief created by the Dao Thanh Y community itself, closely associated with the formation, migration and development of the ethnic group, passed down from generation to generation and always accompanying the lives of the people.

Nowadays, to adapt to the general development of society, many rituals and ceremonies that are no longer suitable for life have been reduced by the Dao Thanh Y, but that does not reduce the sacredness of these rituals.
