Looming in the sim hills at the sim conservation area in Hong Thuong commune are moon houses and guol houses rising up against the blue sky and white clouds. This is a remarkable achievement from the Project to build a Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities in A Luoi district under Project 6, National Target Program 1719 that has been and is being implemented in the ethnic minority areas of Thua Thien Hue province.

A place to showcase cultural identity
Although it was just inaugurated in early September this year, before that, at the Ethnic Minority Cultural Village in A Luoi district, many activities took place recreating traditional festivals, displaying and introducing handicraft products, performing traditional crafts and folk cultural activities.
A Luoi District plans to bring some households of Pa Co, Ta Oi, and Co Tu ethnic groups to live in the Village in the near future. With the space of a cultural village and the community of ethnic groups living here, the breath of the land and the new people blend together to create a diverse and rich cultural color.
Accordingly, traditional festivals and many cultural heritages of ethnic minorities will be restored and reconstructed. Folk songs, folk dances, and musical instruments of ethnic minorities will be collected, preserved, and performed in the village space to serve tourists who come to visit and experience. At the same time, the treasure of knowledge of village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people will pass on valuable documents to build and develop the Cultural Village to become more and more attractive.
