The Industry and Trade sector has just launched the 2023 National Concentrated Promotion Program. This is a practical and timely solution to support businesses and localities in promoting the consumption of agricultural products in the context of the whole country promoting general consumption stimulation.
Participating in this program, supermarkets will sell fresh products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish to consumers at wholesale prices.
Regular consumer goods during Tet such as dried foods are kept at fixed prices for 3 months regardless of market fluctuations, meaning that when the market drops, prices at supermarkets will decrease, but if the market increases, prices will remain the same.
All businesses have the right to participate in the program by proactively implementing their own promotional activities, with content aimed at consumers; proactively applying the maximum promotional limit.
However, businesses must ensure that promotional activities are legal, honest, public, transparent, and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of consumers; and ensure the quality of goods and services.
Craft villages proactively find outlets for Tet goods
At this time, traditional craft villages are racing against time to bring their products to market to serve consumers. In the context of this year's Tet holiday facing a risk of more difficult consumption than previous years, craft villages must be up-to-date in finding ways to adapt. The story from the traditional vermicelli production village of Viet Cuong, which has transformed itself with many new ways of doing things for this year's Tet holiday is an example.
The vermicelli craft village is more vibrant with the appearance of people promoting their products on social networks. The Thai Nguyen Cooperative Alliance has supported producers in introducing and selling products through social networks. The method may still be strange, but it will gradually become more popular for vermicelli producers to apply in this Tet sales season.

Along with promoting and changing the designs, Dong Hy district is also building tours to visit vermicelli villages. Tourists are potential customers, when they witness the production process with their own eyes, they will also feel secure in placing orders.

I hope to bring a new environment for tourists, associated with cultural tourism, culinary tourism and experiencing vermicelli production in craft villages”, said Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, Secretary of Dong Hy District Party Committee, Thai Nguyen.
The changing market and customer needs are both a challenge and a driving force for traditional craft villages to make changes. Whether Tet is full and goods are sold out depends on the flexible adjustment and listening to the market from the producers.
