The Ba Chua Xu Festival in Sam Mountain is not only a religious event, but also an indispensable part of the spiritual and cultural life of the people of Chau Doc City, An Giang Province in particular and the Mekong Delta in general. Tonight, the Provincial People's Committee solemnly held a ceremony to receive the UNESCO Certificate of Recognition for the Via Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain, officially inscribing this unique cultural heritage on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This important event is not only the pride of the people of An Giang but also a great honor for the entire Vietnamese nation. UNESCO's recognition of the Via Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain as a Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a worthy recognition of the unique and everlasting cultural values of the festival. This is a testament to the attention, preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values of Vietnam in the international arena; a historic moment, marking an important turning point in preserving and promoting the value of the Via Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain.

Through the event, it aims to honor and promote the heritage of the Ba Chua Xu Festival on Sam Mountain, promote the traditional cultural heritage values of An Giang province to the domestic and foreign communities.
