A man dropped 11 million VND and was touched when the owner of the tea shop picked it up and returned it (Photo cut from clip: Provided by the character).

The owner of the clip, Mr. Duc Huy (born in 1985, residing in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) said the incident happened at noon on January 4, at a sweet soup shop on To Hien Thanh Street (Ward 13, District 10). The shop owner is his father - Mr. Nguyen Phu Duc (born in 1959).

Accordingly, a customer eating sweet soup at the shop dropped a stack of money including 22 bills worth 500,000 VND but did not notice and got on the bus to leave.

While cleaning the table, Mr. Duc discovered the stack of money. However, he did not shout but put it in the cupboard, waiting for the man to come back to get it because he was afraid that a thief would pretend to be the owner of the stack of money. About 3 hours later, the customer returned, confirmed the amount of money and was handed it by Mr. Duc.

"I found it but didn't dare say anything because I was afraid everyone would come and claim it, and I didn't know who the real owner was. Now you've come back and told me the exact amount, so I'll hand it to you," Mr. Duc said in the clip.

The customer shared that without Mr. Duc, he would not know how to manage because that was the amount of money he had to pay back to the company.

The clip recording this scene has attracted hundreds of thousands of views and interactions on social networks. Many people praised Mr. Duc's quick-witted handling.

"The person who picked it up even asked the person who dropped it to count the money again to see if it was enough. This shows that they wanted the person who dropped it to feel more secure when receiving their money back," commented a social media account.

Mr. Duc Huy shared that his father opened the chè shop in 1998. Every day, he opened the shop at 2 p.m. and worked until 10 p.m. For decades, Mr. Duc has stuck with the chè shop, cherishing every penny he earns because it is the source of income for his entire family.

Now, even though he is old and his children are all grown up and have stable jobs, Mr. Duc still does not rest because he does not want to be a burden to his children and grandchildren.

"After decades of selling sweet soup, my father has had many memorable experiences with customers. Many people came to eat sweet soup and then, after chatting, forgot their motorbikes at the shop. At that time, my father waited until late at night but no one came to claim them, so he had to take them inside the house to keep them for the customers," Huy said with a smile.
