(Dan Tri) - "Seeing the old man crying, I couldn't hold back my tears either. I didn't expect that a small action of mine could move someone so much," said Phi, the hair salon owner.

"I wish you good health, so that next Tet when we meet again I can cut your hair," the post on social media by male barber Vu Hoang Phi (born in 1990, living in Ho Chi Minh City) moved netizens.

In the clip, the 80-year-old man burst into tears after getting a free haircut from Mr. Phi. When seeing this special guest off, the barber also gave the old man a lucky money envelope.

This touching moment has attracted more than 7.5 million views and hundreds of thousands of interactions. The owner of the clip, Mr. Phi, shared that he cut the old man's hair on New Year's Eve 2025.

"He is old but still sells lottery tickets every day and often passes by my shop. Because I wanted him to have a new haircut for Tet, I invited him inside to get a free haircut. He lives with his children but doesn't want to be a burden so he makes a living on his own. I really admire and feel sorry for this man who is not related by blood," said Mr. Phi.

The young man shared that he often organizes free haircuts for street workers. Although it is not the first time, every time he witnesses special guests bursting into tears of emotion, Phi cannot hold back his tears.

"One of the most memorable memories I have is when I cut the hair of a lottery ticket boy. He had no family and had to earn a living for himself when he was young.

Seeing others treat him so well, he burst into tears and thanked us profusely. Those memorable memories made me believe even more that what I was doing was right, feeling that I received more smiles and happiness than I gave," Phi confided.

The male barber said he has been pursuing this job since 2011. At that time, he often cut hair for free for street workers, to practice his skills and at the same time do useful work.

Even when he started his business, opened a hair salon and attracted many customers, Phi still maintained this meaningful activity to "repay" life.
