Continuing the working program of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the morning of June 3, the National Assembly held a plenary session at the Hall to discuss the draft Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools (amended).
Through discussion, the majority of delegates agreed on the necessity of amending the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools to fully and promptly institutionalize the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on strengthening the management and use of weapons, explosives and supporting tools; reform administrative procedures, reduce unnecessary paperwork to ensure compliance with reality, create favorable conditions for agencies, organizations and people; create a solid legal corridor in state management and prevent and combat crimes and violations of the law in this field; and at the same time overcome shortcomings, limitations and obstacles in the process of implementing and applying the Law in the past.
In addition, many delegates also agreed to add "highly lethal knives" to the group of primitive weapons. At the same time, they proposed to strengthen the management and use of weapons, explosives and supporting tools...
Concluding the session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong said that through discussion, the majority of National Assembly deputies highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the drafting agency in preparing the legal dossier, promptly reporting and accepting opinions of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the review opinions of the National Defense and Security Committee and the discussion opinions in the group. The National Defense and Security Committee chaired the review and the review report was also very complete. The opinions basically agreed on the necessity of promulgating the law, agreed on the structure and many contents of the draft law, the review report of the National Defense and Security Committee, the acceptance report of the Ministry of Public Security and basically agreed to submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 7th session according to the one-session process.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Standing Committee of the National Defense and Security Committee to urgently preside over and coordinate with the drafting agency and relevant agencies to fully absorb and explain the opinions of National Assembly deputies to complete the draft law for submission to the National Assembly for approval.
On the afternoon of June 3, at the 7th Session , President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang briefly presented the Proposal on the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended) . It is expected that the draft Law will be discussed by the National Assembly in the hall on June 18.
