On January 16, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 3 on food safety of the Provincial People's Committee, led by the Inspector of the Department of Industry and Trade, conducted an inspection in Ea H'leo district.
Accordingly, the Delegation worked with the Food Safety Steering Committee of Ea H'leo district; at the same time, inspected a number of food production and trading establishments in the area regarding legal documents; general conditions to ensure food safety in food production and trading.
The focus is on items that are commonly used during the Lunar New Year such as: cakes, candies, jams, melon seeds, ham, wine, beer, soft drinks... The delegation also randomly took 2 food samples to send for quality testing for food safety.

During the inspection, it was found that the food establishments basically complied with the regulations. However, there were establishments that violated the conditions of food business operations. Specifically, the violation of the food storage area did not have shelves as prescribed. The delegation invited the establishment owner to work and handle according to regulations. For the food safety quality testing samples taken at the establishment, if they do not meet the requirements, the delegation will base on the results to handle according to the provisions of law.
In addition to inspection and supervision to strengthen food safety and hygiene, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team has guided, propagated and disseminated legal regulations on food safety in production, processing and business so that facility owners can comply with regulations to ensure safety for consumers' health.
It is known that to ensure food safety during the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Provincial People's Committee has established 3 interdisciplinary inspection teams to conduct food safety inspections in localities including Buon Ma Thuot City and the districts of M'Drak, Ea H'leo, Krong Ana, Krong Bong, Lak, Krong Buk, and Krong Nang.
