The document states: It is forecasted that the number of tourists will increase sharply during the National Day holiday on September 2. Therefore, relevant units need to advise tourists to ensure their legitimate rights and interests when using tourism services.

Specifically, tourists need to carefully research information about travel packages, especially travel programs and hotel rooms with cheaper prices than usual. Tourists choose tourism service providers that ensure conditions according to legal regulations such as having a Business Registration Certificate, a License to operate domestic and international travel services, a Decision to recognize the class of tourist accommodation establishments, a document notifying the results of the inspection of minimum conditions on technical facilities and services of tourist accommodation establishments issued by a competent state agency, etc.

Tourists should proactively reconfirm the information in the travel contract (confirmation of booking, quality, service price, time, tour program, tour guide; facilities for tourist accommodation...); find information about organizations and individuals doing business in tourism services at the website: http://csdl.vietnamtourism.gov.vn.

The Ministry Inspectorate also noted a number of violations for tourists to proactively prevent, such as: Doing tourism business without meeting business conditions; not having a license to do domestic and international travel services or not ensuring business conditions during operation; discriminating against tourists, competing for tourists, forcing tourists to buy goods and services.

Tourists should also be aware of advertising activities that are not in accordance with the type or class of tourist accommodation facilities that have been recognized by competent state agencies; and advertising the type or class of tourist accommodation facilities that have not been recognized by competent state agencies.

The document also clearly states: When detecting violations, organizations and individuals are requested to promptly provide information to the Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism in localities and the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism via the hotline of the Inspectorate of the Ministry (receiving feedback, complaints and denunciations during office hours via landline number 024.39437610 - 0904.342.536; email [email protected]; receiving, reflecting, complaining and denunciations 24/24 hours).
