At the festival, the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee said that over the years, the cadres and people of Xuan Duong residential area have promoted the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance in economic development. Currently, the residential area has only 4 poor households and 1 near-poor household.
In particular, in recent times, the cadres and people of the area have implemented the Party and State's legal policies very well, actively handed over land to implement key projects of the province and city, contributing greatly to the overall socio-economic development results.
During the meeting, the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee shared that in 2024, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, especially being directly affected by storm No. 3, with proactive and flexible leadership and direction, the province's socio-economy still achieved very encouraging results, and national defense and security were ensured.
Specifically, the economic growth rate reached 9.31% (ranked 11th in the country and 4th in the Red River Delta); budget revenue in the first 9 months of the year reached over 21,000 billion VND, exceeding the annual budget estimate by 10%. Many key projects of the province were accelerated, some of which were completed and put into use.
According to Mr. Chau, the results achieved are the efforts of all levels, sectors, the participation of the entire political system and the entire people of the province, including the very positive contributions of the people of Xuan Duong residential area. That is also the driving force for Hai Duong province to accelerate in socio-economic development.
Mr. Chau suggested that in the coming time, the cadres and people of Xuan Duong residential area continue to promote the tradition of Great National Unity; unite to help each other develop production, expand industries, develop the economy, and prevent social evils.
At the same time, strictly comply with the policies, laws of the Party, the State, local regulations, and conventions of the area; constantly improve and enhance the material and spiritual life of the people, ensuring that the lives of everyone and every family are increasingly prosperous and happy. Strive to have no more poor or near-poor households in the area, so that the festival in 2025 will be more complete and happier.
“Whether or not the building of a cultural life in each family is successful depends on each of us; building a healthy, peaceful and prosperous residential area is for ourselves to enjoy,” Mr. Chau emphasized.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau presented 5 gifts to poor and near-poor households in Xuan Duong residential area.
The leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to the Xuan Duong Residential Area Front Working Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; and awarded certificates of family "Exemplary grandparents and parents, loyal children and filial grandchildren" to 2 families.
