To promptly encourage the school and students in the new school year, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, leaders of departments, branches, and localities came to celebrate the opening day of the school year and gave many meaningful gifts to the school and students in the whole province.
The theme of the 2024-2025 school year of the Gia Lai province education sector is determined to be the school year of "Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity and discipline".
To fulfill the school year's tasks, since the beginning of August, schools in the area have organized cleaning, pruning trees, ensuring green, clean, beautiful and safe classrooms; assigning tasks and teaching plans to teachers.
The provincial education sector has mobilized resources to increase investment in facilities and purchase teaching equipment with a total budget of more than 367.4 billion VND. From the career budget, the Department of Education and Training has purchased laboratory equipment, multi-purpose classrooms for teaching many subjects, foreign language teaching and learning rooms, etc.
Along with that, 7 projects were completed and put into use at ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding schools and secondary schools with semi-boarding students with a total cost of more than 31.9 billion VND.
Currently, the Department continues to complete procedures to invest in the construction of the remaining 17 schools in the 2023-2025 period with a total cost of more than 151 billion VND.

Director of the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training Le Duy Dinh said: Immediately after the opening ceremony of the new school year, educational institutions will begin organizing activities at the beginning of the school year such as: stabilizing and maintaining learning routines; organizing activities at the beginning of the school year in line with local realities; focusing on building school culture; coordinating with parents to create consensus, sharing, and supporting the education sector to perform well the tasks of the school year. At the same time, educational institutions are requested to focus on reviewing, inspecting, and advising competent authorities to ensure adequate facilities and educational equipment for the new school year. Strictly implement regulations on financial revenue and expenditure management, and publicize revenues and expenditures from the beginning of the school year. Implement plans to support poor students, ethnic minority students, etc. to have enough textbooks, school supplies, and other essential conditions; do not let students due to difficult circumstances not be able to go to school.
