On the morning of March 19, Ten Lo Man High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) held a celebration of its 75th traditional anniversary.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that Ten Lo Man High School is a school with a historical tradition, closely associated with the cause of education, the revolutionary movement for national liberation, and has made many contributions to the cause of training and educating people in Ho Chi Minh City.

Exactly 75 years ago, on March 19, 1950, at this very school, the late Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho delivered a historic speech... The speech on March 19, 1950 was not only a call from a patriotic intellectual but also demonstrated the indomitable will of the Vietnamese youth generation during the period of fighting against colonialism and imperialism. The demonstration was successful, forcing the US to cancel the naval exercise, and two US warships had to withdraw that very night, marking a turning point in the anti-American struggle of the people of the South.
From this event, the student movement spread throughout the South, marking an important turning point in the movement against American intervention in Vietnam. Because of its great historical significance, March 19 was later called “National Anti-American Day” – a symbol of the indomitable spirit of our people in the resistance war against imperialist invaders.

According to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the event on March 19 is not only a source of pride for the school but also a symbol of the indomitable spirit, patriotism and tireless fighting spirit of the generation of Vietnamese intellectuals and youth.

The school needs to pay attention and take advantage of allocated resources to invest, renovate, upgrade, and gradually modernize facilities, equipment, and care for the lives of staff, employees, and students, ensuring full implementation of policies and regimes for officials, civil servants, workers, and students... The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that the city is always imbued with the idea that "education and training are the top national policy, the future of the nation". To exploit the unique potential of Ho Chi Minh City, "Green and digital development", double-digit growth in 2025 and the following years, in the breakthrough strategy, the city has identified 1 center - 4 highs - 1 strategy, including high-quality education.
