On August 30, the national exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament - Everlasting Value and Vitality” opened at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace. The exhibition was organized under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament (1969-2024) and the 55th anniversary of his death (September 2, 1969-September 2, 2024).

Attending the event were comrade Le Quang Manh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee; and representatives of leaders of relevant ministries, departments and branches.
Opening remarks At the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh has passed away for 55 years, but his great ideological and spiritual legacy still guides the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country to victory. One of those legacies is the historical Testament - a heartfelt testament, a humble voice of a communist, imbued with the cultural identity of the nation and the times, with value beyond space and time.

The Testament (also known as the "Top Secret" Document) was written by President Ho Chi Minh over a long period of time, from 1965 to 1969, in the stilt house in the Presidential Palace. His instructions were important and necessary issues that needed to be addressed in order to ensure the revolutionary leadership role of a ruling Party, and at the same time lead to the victory of the Vietnamese revolution in the common struggle for national independence and social progress.
According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is an opportunity for us to continue to re-read and reflect on his last heartfelt words before he passed away. With deep respect and gratitude to him, the entire Party, people and army actively study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example; strive to build the Party and a clean and strong political system according to his will; promote the strength of national unity and the strength of the times, build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam.

With more than 200 documents, images, and charts selected for display, the exhibition is divided into 3 parts: biography and career of President Ho Chi Minh; Testament - National Treasure; 55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.
Through that, the Exhibition helps viewers better understand the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of Vietnam's national liberation, Outstanding Cultural Man; better understand the circumstances of birth and the process of writing President Ho Chi Minh's Will; the core content as well as the profound theoretical and practical values in President Ho Chi Minh's Will; along with that is the process of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people Execute the Will His great achievements and valuable lessons over the past 55 years continue to be promoted in the new revolutionary period.
These are lessons about the Party's optimistic spirit and revolutionary scientific mettle; lessons about solidarity and unity within the Party; lessons about practicing democracy widely, regularly, and seriously, including self-criticism and criticism; lessons about paying special attention to the young generation, the future owners of the country; lessons about caring for and constantly improving the people's lives; lessons about the spirit of dedication to revolutionary ideals.

The exhibition is also an opportunity for the public to access documents and images of special value for research projects on National treasure – President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament. It is both a source of pride and motivation for the entire Party, people and army to actively study and follow the example of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style.
The organizers said that after the exhibition, the display and explanation contents will be made into clips and posted on the website of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, to continue to promote and serve the public's needs in the coming time.
The exhibition is open to visitors from August 30, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
