Opening of Kien Giang Province Women's Volleyball Tournament

The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the teams participating in the 2025 Kien Giang Province Women's Volleyball Tournament.

On the evening of March 5, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Kien Giang province, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Women's Union of Kien Giang province to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 Kien Giang women's volleyball tournament.

The tournament attracted 11 teams from provincial departments, localities, businesses, and schools in the province; divided into 3 groups to compete in the qualifying round, then compete in the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals.

The teams compete in the qualifying round after the opening ceremony.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Kien Giang province Tran Nguyen Ba said that the women's volleyball tournament aims to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025); actively respond to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". The tournament is also part of a series of activities responding to the month of physical education and sports for everyone in 2025; celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025)...

After the opening ceremony, the teams competed in the qualifying round. The 2025 Kien Giang Province Women's Volleyball Tournament closed and awarded prizes on March 7.
