On the evening of October 20, at the Cultural - Cinema Center of Ha Tinh province, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with Ha Tinh province to organize a special art program "Forever the revolutionary path of the youth" and the 110th anniversary of Ly Tu Trong's birth.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, reviewed the background, life and career of Ly Tu Trong - the first communist youth union member. Ly Tu Trong's heroic spirit and sacrifice for the revolutionary cause are noble symbols of revolutionary heroism, calling on generations of Vietnamese youth to join the army, fight the enemy and defend the country.
Proud to be the hometown of the first Communist Youth Union member and many predecessors; the people, cadres, party members, and youth of Ha Tinh through the ages have made great contributions to the cause of national construction.
Every cadre, party member and people of Ha Tinh always clearly understands that the revolutionary path of previous generations was to fight for national liberation and national unification. The revolutionary path of Vietnamese youth today is to be proactive and pioneers in all fields, boldly start businesses, establish careers, conquer science and technology, and develop a prosperous and happy country...
“The 110th Birthday Anniversary of Ly Tu Trong helps us understand more deeply the life and career of the first communist youth union member, thereby adding more determination, strength, and confidence to strive to successfully complete the difficult but extremely glorious tasks in the new revolutionary period,” said the Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.
At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed that the life, revolutionary career and heroic sacrifice of Ly Tu Trong have become a beautiful symbol of revolutionary heroism, an immortal symbol of the spirit of Vietnamese youth, forever a mirror, a valuable lesson for the younger generation to follow. Vietnamese history and people will forever remember and be proud of the indomitable will and noble sacrifice of generations of fathers and grandfathers, and of the first union member Ly Tu Trong.
"We are entering a new era of development shaped and led by the scientific and technological achievements of the fourth industrial revolution and the trend of green transformation and digital transformation, with the most important resources being knowledge and innovation. The pioneering flag for the nation to enter the new era is given to the young generation with aspirations, ambitions, youth and the ability to master new knowledge and technology, ready to adapt and integrate deeply into the international community; a passionate spirit of patriotism and a desire to affirm the two words Vietnam in the international arena," said Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that the young generation should prepare themselves to be ready to take on the role of pillars, pioneers in leading innovation, development, mastering new technologies, source technologies; promoting the development of new productive forces, new driving forces to move the country forward quickly.
Young people need to follow in the footsteps of Ly Tu Trong's brave, steadfast spirit, not afraid of difficulties and challenges in starting a business and creating to create a generation of young, dynamic, courageous and integrated entrepreneurs, scientists and managers, especially in emerging economic fields such as green economic development, digital economic development, artificial intelligence, research and technology transfer, to keep up with new development trends of the world.
The courage and intelligence of today's youth need to be promoted in solving new and difficult problems of the country, of each agency and unit; spreading the good cultural values of the nation, the spirit of community, together building a civilized living environment, friendly to nature.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union continue to innovate its methods of organization, operation, and gathering of young people; expand cooperation and connect young people globally; create an environment for young people to promote their enthusiasm, eagerness, dynamism, and creativity; hone their mettle and intelligence; be ready to undertake important political tasks; and contribute to solving global development issues.
"We respect and engrave in our hearts the contributions of Ly Tu Trong and previous revolutionary leaders. The entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and the young generation today are determined to successfully carry out the cause of innovation, construction, development and firmly protecting the Fatherland. That is also the most meaningful and beautiful way to repay and show gratitude for the sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Within the framework of commemorative activities in the heroic homeland of Ly Tu Trong, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with Ha Tinh province and provincial, municipal and affiliated youth unions to organize a scientific workshop on "Ly Tu Trong Spirit - Aspiration of the Youth" along with many activities of gratitude, remembering the source of water, and social security such as: Building a national flagpole and the Youth Union flag at Ly Tu Trong Memorial Site; Donating 1,000 maps in response to the Campaign "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers"; Donating the Youth Union's traditional education project - "Forever your name shines" at Ly Tu Trong Memorial Site including an animated film about the life and career of Ly Tu Trong and a cinema room at Ly Tu Trong Memorial Site in Ha Tinh province; Digitizing Ly Tu Trong Memorial Site; Donating charity houses and red scarf houses to children and people in difficult circumstances; Donating the project "Lighting up the countryside"; Visit and give gifts to relatives of Mr. Ly Tu Trong... with a total value of donated resources in Ha Tinh of more than 1.9 billion VND.
