Speaking at the press conference before the match, head coach Nguyen Hong Pham shared: “All the teams in the quarterfinals are worthy. Each team has its strengths. This will definitely be a worthy opponent. Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club always plays with the highest desire to win.”

He also said that the team is ready for scenarios such as extra time or penalty shootouts. “I support coach Kim Hong in charge of 3 goalkeepers. The quarter-final match is very important. I want to support to help the goalkeepers maintain the best playing condition for 90 minutes, even 120 minutes, to be more effective in guarding the goal,” coach Nguyen Hong Pham added.

Regarding the force, Coach Nguyen Hong Pham affirmed that the foreign players have integrated well: "Initially, the foreign players encountered some difficulties with time frames and weather, but now they have integrated well. With overseas Vietnamese players, their common mentality is the desire to perform, so they practice very eagerly."

The player representative, striker Huynh Nhu, expressed confidence before the match. She said the team had carefully studied their opponent Abu Dhabi Country: “They have many foreign players with good skills and have played good matches against strong Asian opponents in the group stage. In this quarter-final match, the two teams are equal so the opportunities are divided equally. The team that takes advantage of the opportunities will win. We are playing at home so we will try to achieve the best results.”

Although admitting that Abu Dhabi Country has many tall players, Huynh Nhu affirmed that this is not a big problem: “They may have a better physique, but our coach has instructed us on exercises to compete with tall opponents. In particular, we have overseas Vietnamese players who support us in defending against high balls and shooting from long distances. We have a plan to control them. No matter how tall the opponent is, we are not afraid.”

With careful preparation, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is determined to reach the semi-finals and bring glory to Vietnamese football.
