Katy Perry expressed her happiness when performing in Vietnam
On the evening of December 20, the VinFuture Awards ceremony took place in Hanoi. The award aims to honor breakthrough scientific and technological achievements that have contributed or have the potential to contribute to making the lives of millions of people on earth better. Present at this event, world music star Katy Perry brought 3 hit songs from her career, attracting the attention of the public.

Katy Perry opened with Unconditionally from her fourth album, Prism (2013). The power ballad is about unconditional love, accepting the flaws and shortcomings of others. After two performances, Katy Perry greeted the Vietnamese audience: "Hello Vietnam! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to come here. I am so happy to be here and honor those who are truly changing the world. Thank you VinFuture for everything! I will perform a few songs for you." She also expressed her affection for Vietnam and said that performing at the VinFuture awards ceremony was a wonderful experience.
Katy Perry's final performance was Firework , the biggest hit of her career. The song also marked the first time Katy Perry had success with an inspirational piece of music. The dance-pop track is about self-empowerment, emphasizing the uniqueness of each person and comparing them to the bright and shining fireworks in the sky.
This is also the third time Katy Perry has come to Vietnam, but the first time she has performed in the S-shaped strip of land as a singer. Previously, she attended and shared at a forum in Ho Chi Minh City in 2015, visited and participated in charity activities in Ninh Thuan in 2016, both in her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF.
