According to Al Jazeera news channel, in a post on social network X, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on the army to evacuate Palestinians from the West Bank, stating: "This is a war for everything and we must win"".
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Health Ministry said that these airstrikes killed at least nine people, including seven in the city of Tubas and two others in the city of Jenin.
Jenin Mayor Kamal Abu al-Rub said Israeli forces had surrounded the city, blocking entrances and hospital gates and destroying infrastructure in refugee camps.
The raid came two days after Israel announced another air strike on the West Bank. Palestinians said five people were killed in the attack.
Violence in the West Bank has increased amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Islamist Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip. According to statistics from both sides, more than 640 Palestinians and at least 19 Israelis have been killed in violence since the conflict broke out in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
Among those killed were many armed militants but also young men involved in stone-throwing activities or unrelated civilians.
