The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that Huynh Nhu will have a week of training with a separate training program, combined with physical therapy to ensure the best recovery for the 2023 World Cup finals in July.

When asked about his injury, the striker from Tra Vinh said: "At first I was a bit worried, but after 3 days of active treatment, my condition is now relatively stable."

With this injury, Huynh Nhu will definitely be absent from the friendly match between the Vietnamese women's team and the German national women's team on June 24.

The 31-year-old striker is racing against time to recover in time for the 2023 World Cup finals. According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will play their opening match of the 2023 World Cup against the United States on July 22.

Yesterday afternoon (June 21), the Vietnamese women's team continued to practice at Russelsheim am Main stadium to prepare for the match against the German team.

In the first part of the training session, Coach Mai Duc Chung had his students practice speed and ball technique. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers continued to practice catching the ball and reflexes.

After that, the coaching staff arranged for the whole team to coordinate, perform quick attacks, finish the goal and cross the wing.

Also yesterday, fitness coach Cedric Roger arrived in Frankfurt to join the Vietnamese women's team after completing domestic duties. This is a necessary addition so that the players have the best physical condition before entering the biggest women's football tournament on the planet.

This afternoon (June 22), the Vietnamese women's team will have a practice session to get acquainted with Bieberer Berg Stadium (Offenbach), where the match with the German team will take place.

Before that, coach Mai Duc Chung attended a press conference with local reporters and Vietnamese press agencies stationed in Germany at 5:00 p.m. (local time).
