Promote industrial and agricultural development

Mr. Hong Nhu Vang, Vice Chairman of Dat Do District People's Committee said: In recent times, Dat Do District has proposed many support policies, creating favorable conditions for many rural industrial and handicraft establishments to be established and put into operation, creating more jobs for workers.

Typically, in 2019, Dat Do district invested in Dat Do I industrial park, with an area of ​​496.2 hectares in Phuoc Long Tho commune. Since then, the district has focused on investing in completing infrastructure such as roads, electricity, domestic water, wastewater treatment area, and at the same time, creating all favorable conditions for businesses to invest in the industrial park. Up to now, Dat Do I industrial park has attracted 44 secondary investors, of which 12 have come into operation; 11 investors are in trial operation; 05 investors are under construction... The development of industry and handicrafts has created jobs for thousands of workers in the district, contributing greatly to job creation, ensuring social security, thereby promoting the district's economy to develop in a sustainable direction.

In addition, with favorable climate, soil and agricultural infrastructure conditions, Dat Do district has recently taken advantage of this strength to develop high-tech agriculture (HTA) to develop the local socio-economy. Accordingly, in addition to planning and allocating land areas for HTA development, the district coordinates with relevant departments and branches to support cooperatives and farming households in building farming area codes for concentrated agricultural production areas; deploying investment models applying high technology in cultivation.

At the same time, actively propagate and mobilize people to restructure the agricultural sector, promote the application of science, technology, and mechanization in production, associated with the transformation of crop and livestock varieties and actively intensify and expand concentrated production; Strengthen promotional activities, trade promotion and product consumption connection, apply mechanisms and policies on agricultural extension, support policies, encourage linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products... to support cooperatives, cooperative groups, and growing households in production linkage, product consumption, creating stable output for products...

Up to now, in the district, there are about 279.9 hectares of land used for NNCNC production, forming many concentrated agricultural commodity production areas with large scale such as: vegetable, flower, fruit tree production areas, seed production areas and aquaculture. The application of high technology in agricultural production has helped people to be proactive in the crop season, increase the number of production crops in the year, control pests, agricultural input materials... improve production efficiency, increase income, stabilize life.

Towards sustainable poverty reduction

Mr. Hong Nhu Vang, Vice Chairman of Dat Do District People's Committee, said: The development of industry and high-tech agriculture is truly one of the important solutions contributing effectively to the local socio-economic development. Accordingly, the district's annual economy has a fairly high growth rate; The goals of the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program in the district are implemented in the right direction, achieving positive results.

Specifically, infrastructure is increasingly invested in synchronously and completed, the material and spiritual life of the majority of people is clearly improved, the quality of life is constantly raised; the average income of rural people in the district reaches over 76 million VND/person/year. Up to now, in the district there are only 379 poor households meeting provincial standards, accounting for 1.84% of the population; 06/6 communes no longer have poor households meeting national standards.

To continue promoting the achieved results, aiming at the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, in the coming time, Dat Do district will continue to promote the combined strength of the entire political system, organize and implement well the proposed programs and plans; exploit and promote effectively the available potentials and advantages of the locality.

At the same time, the district continues to review and adjust the planning and annual land use plan of the land fund, in which priority will be given to allocating more land funds for industrial and agricultural development to solve jobs for local workers; support cooperatives to link members and farming households to cooperate in agricultural production to improve production efficiency, build a stable product consumption chain, and bring sustainable development to the district's agricultural sector.

At the same time, Dat Do district will increase the mobilization of investment resources for poverty reduction, mobilize people to help each other in developing family economy; Organize the integration of socio-economic programs with sustainable poverty reduction programs; Link vocational training with counseling, referral, and job placement so that workers after vocational training have stable jobs to avoid the situation of escaping poverty and then falling back into poverty...
