(TN&MT) - On the morning of February 22, the Long An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Quang Duong announced the Politburo's decision to cease participating in the Central Inspection Commission, cease holding the position of Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, term XIII, term 2021 - 2026; transfer and appoint to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025 and participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 7, term 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung congratulated the new Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, the Head of the Central Organizing Committee said that Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet is a well-trained cadre with high professional qualifications, scientific, decisive and democratic thinking and working methods, highly appreciated by the Politburo and the Secretariat, and has made important contributions to the common achievements of the units and localities where he has worked. The Politburo and the Secretariat believe that in his new position, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet will continue to excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung suggested that, immediately after taking on the new assignment, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Executive Committee of the Long An Provincial Party Committee should lead the implementation of the tasks set out by the Provincial Party Committee. In particular, focus on reviewing the targets and objectives of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress; lead the successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, and the 12th Long An Provincial Party Congress. At the same time, focus on digital transformation, science and technology; focus on key projects, regional linkages, etc. to bring Long An homeland to develop even more strongly in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Quyet thanked the Politburo for entrusting him with the important responsibility. He considered this an important milestone and a great honor in his work as well as a great responsibility before the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Long An province.
