More than 600 delegates will attend the Congress of the Hanoi Fatherland Front.

The 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City, term 2024 - 2029, has the theme: "Solidarity - Democracy - Responsibility - Creativity - Development". The Congress will take place over three days on August 21, 22 and 23 with the participation of 363 official delegates and 250 invited delegates.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Sy Truong said that the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi city, term 2024-2029, has the task of comprehensively assessing the situation and results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city, term 2019-2024, drawing practical lessons, unifying the direction, tasks and action programs for the term 2024-2029.

The Congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and propose amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; consult to elect a Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city with a reasonable number, structure, and appropriate expansion ratio, ensuring representativeness, practicality, and typicality in terms of patriotism, capacity, dedication, responsibility, intelligence, and prestige; consult to elect a delegation to attend the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The goal of the Congress is to continue to build and firmly consolidate the Great National Unity bloc; strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; diversify forms of propaganda and mobilization, promptly synthesize and orient public opinion to ensure authenticity and consistency with the Party's viewpoints; well perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; strengthen consensus, promote socio-economic development, accelerate the cause of industrialization and modernization, build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, build a civilized, modern and cultural capital Hanoi...

The Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi also identified three breakthroughs: Strongly innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the city towards national and people benefits, flexibility, efficiency, and adaptation to the new situation; promoting the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building the great national unity bloc, contributing to building a Cultural - Civilized - Modern Capital; improving the quality of social supervision and criticism, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, practicing democracy, enhancing social consensus, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government.

Also according to Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Sy Truong, the new point in this Congress program is that there will be 5 forums for exchange and discussion with specific topics held in 5 districts.

In addition to the main activities, during the 3 days of the Congress, there will be the following activities: Opening of the Photo Exhibition, the "Solidarity and Creativity" space and the launch of the "XVIII Congress" application. The art program to welcome the success of the Congress will be held simultaneously at Ba Kieu Temple, No. 58 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hang Trong Ward, Hoan Kiem District and at 5 locations belonging to 5 Emulation Clusters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City: Long Bien, Cau Giay, Thanh Tri, Phu Xuyen, Son Tay on the evening of August 23.
