More than 37 billion VND to preserve, renovate and restore Cham towers in Quang Nam

(QNO) - The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the investment policy for the project to preserve, restore, and promote the value of Cham towers in Quang Nam, including: Bang An tower (Dien An ward, Dien Ban town); Bac tower and Giua tower (belonging to the Chien Dan Cham tower relic, Tam An commune, Phu Ninh district); Sang tower (belonging to the special national relic of Dong Duong Buddhist Institute, Binh Dinh Bac commune, Thang Binh).

All three investment projects to preserve and restore Cham tower relics mentioned above will be implemented in the period of 2023 - 2025, aiming to restore and stabilize the relic structure in the long term; contributing to preserving and promoting the value of the relic.

The total investment for the conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of Bang An Cham Tower (Dien An Ward, Dien Ban Town) is over VND8.3 billion; Sang Tower is VND12 billion; Bac Tower and Giua Tower are over VND16.7 billion; all from the provincial budget.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the project investor; preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to complete documents and procedures to submit to competent authorities for investment decisions in accordance with legal regulations. At the same time, implement the project in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and other relevant documents.
