On the morning of January 6, the People's Committee of Chuong My District (Hanoi) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to restore and embellish the relic complex of Tram Pagoda - Tram Gian Pagoda and build an exhibition house about President Ho Chi Minh.
Regarding the projects, a representative of the Chuong My District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project to restore and embellish the Tram Pagoda relic cluster (Phung Chau commune) includes the restoration of Vu Vi Pagoda, Cao Pagoda, Hang Pagoda, Ba Lang Pagoda... with a total investment of more than 92 billion VND.
The project to build an exhibition house about President Ho Chi Minh at Tram Pagoda relic complex is invested in the But Mountain campus, on an area of nearly 30,000 m2 . The investment items include the main gate, exhibition house, left and right wing houses, observation tower, trees... with a total investment of more than 183 billion VND.
The project to renovate and embellish Tram Gian Pagoda (Tien Phuong Commune) with a total investment of nearly 89 billion VND. The project will renovate the current state of the pagoda, including the three-entrance gate, the royal house, the tower garden, market sub-items, lighting infrastructure, trees, etc.
According to the representative of the Chuong My District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investment objective of the project clusters is to protect historical and cultural relics from negative impacts of the natural environment and social environment. Preserving and promoting the typical cultural values of the relics, preserving national cultural heritage, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of local people...
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My District, emphasized that the relic cluster of Tram Pagoda and Tram Gian Pagoda is one of the typical and unique heritages, recognized by the State as a national historical and cultural relic in 1962; these are relics with a long history, praised by the people as two of the "Four Great Scenic Spots of the Doai Region".
This is not only an important place of worship for local people but also a spiritual and cultural tourist destination, an important address for pilgrimages and sightseeing trips of tourists, contributing to the development of cultural industry associated with tourism economy, creating conditions to promote the city's socio-economic development.
The construction of the exhibition house about President Ho Chi Minh is to commemorate his great contributions and commemorate the times he visited and worked at Tram Pagoda.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My District affirmed that after the projects are completed, they will contribute to preserving, maintaining and promoting the value of cultural heritage, while also preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural values in the area.
Four great scenic spots of the Doai region
Xu Doai was originally a large land located to the west of the capital Thang Long, the cradle of ancient Vietnamese civilization.
Tram Gian Pagoda, Tram Pagoda, Tay Phuong Pagoda and Thay Pagoda are ancient pagodas with unique architecture, known as the "four great scenic spots" of the ancient Doai region, as well as Hanoi today.
