More than 20,000 Tet gifts for near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances

It is expected that 20,346 gifts will be given by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city to near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year of At Ty.


On the afternoon of January 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City organized the program "Spring of Love - At Ty year 2025", giving Tet gifts to disadvantaged households in the city and commending and rewarding organizations and individuals with achievements in mobilizing and supporting to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi).

At the Program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city directly presented 70 Lunar New Year gifts to near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in 7 districts on the city's mainland.

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Tran Thi Man said that the program "Spring of Love - At Ty 2025" is expected to give 20,346 gifts to near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 10.2 billion VND.

It is known that this year, Da Nang city plans to spend more than 126 billion VND to support Tet gifts (more than 7.4 billion VND from the central budget, more than 108.4 billion VND from the city's "For the Poor" Fund, more than 10.2 billion VND).

According to information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city, as of December 31, 2024, the city-wide "For the Poor" Fund has mobilized and received support from organizations, units, businesses and individuals for the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels with an amount of 35,098 billion VND (the city level mobilized 6,575 billion VND; the district level mobilized 9,492 billion VND; the ward and commune level mobilized 19,031 billion VND).

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), the Da Nang City Front received 3,906 donations from all walks of life, cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, religious organizations, agencies, units, and enterprises in the city with a total amount of 50,374 billion VND.
