DNO - On the morning of February 10 (the first day of Tet), the Department of Tourism coordinated with Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company and airlines to welcome tourists on the occasion of the first day of the new year of Giap Thin 2024.

This is an annual activity demonstrating the hospitality of the city’s tourism industry. Accordingly, at around 6:45 a.m., the “first flight” number VN628 operated by Vietnam Airlines from Don Mueang (Thailand) landed at Da Nang International Airport.
Here, visitors are welcomed with a lion dance performance and special gifts of the city and participate in the program "Picking spring fortune" with gifts of vouchers for tourist attractions, entertainment... for visitors during their experience in Da Nang city.
In particular, 3 lucky guests on the flight received round-trip air tickets from Don Mueang to Da Nang by Vietnam Airlines along with tourism products of the city.

Immediately afterwards, the city's tourism industry continued to welcome domestic tourists on flight VN157 from Hanoi to Da Nang of Vietnam Airlines.
And flight JX701 from Taipei (Taiwan, China) to Da Nang of Starlux Airlines.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong, welcoming the first flights and tourists at the beginning of the year of Giap Thin 2024 is a positive signal, expecting that the city's tourism will increasingly flourish and continue to develop strongly in the new year.

On the first day of Tet, Da Nang International Airport will welcome more than 125 domestic and international flights, estimated at more than 17,000 passengers to Da Nang; including 53 international flights, estimated at about 7,500 passengers.
It is expected that the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang during the 7 days of Tet Giap Thin 2024 (from February 8 to 14) will reach 894 flights, an increase of 16% over the same period last year.
