
On June 26, nationwide, 1,060,356 candidates came to the examination sites to complete the exam procedures, reaching a rate of 98.96%; 11,037 candidates did not come to complete the exam procedures, accounting for a rate of 1.04%. Candidates who have not come to complete the procedures will continue to complete the exam procedures early this morning (June 27).
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, a total of 1,071,393 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to the 2023 exam.
On the first day, the candidates completed the exam procedures safely, orderly, seriously, and in accordance with the regulations. The examination councils implemented effective solutions to support candidates in completing the procedures smoothly; disseminated the regulations in full; reported to the steering committees at all levels any cases that required information adjustment; helped candidates correct errors during the registration process, creating a good mentality for candidates.

Today (June 27), in the morning, candidates will take the Literature exam in the essay format (120 minutes), and in the afternoon, they will take the Math exam in the multiple choice format (90 minutes). On June 28, in the morning, candidates will take the Natural Science and Social Science exams, and in the afternoon, they will take the Foreign Language exam.
According to the regulations, candidates are not allowed to leave the room until the end of the multiple-choice test. For the essay test, candidates can leave the room and the testing area after two-thirds of the test time has passed, and must submit the test paper, test questions, and scratch paper before leaving the testing room.
Candidates are not allowed to distribute the exam in any form during the time it has not been made public. Violations may be subject to criminal prosecution and suspension from the exam.
According to education experts, during the exam period, candidates need to maintain their health, have a scientific and reasonable diet, sleep and rest, and absolutely not stay up too late. On the exam day, parents need to accompany their children to remind them to take the exam on time, go to the exam room safely, and not bring items that are not allowed into the exam room.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, said: The goal of this year's high school graduation exam remains unchanged compared to previous years.
The exam results serve the purpose of high school graduation, serve as a basis for university and college admissions, and evaluate the quality of management, teaching and learning at educational institutions. Localities must thoroughly grasp the spirit of not being negligent or subjective; have a backup plan so that in any situation, they will not be passive.
