(Dan Tri) - The periodic test questions for high school level will have to change according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training to guide the implementation of innovation in testing and assessment for middle and high school students.
According to the Ministry's request, for subjects assessed by comments combined with scores, the Department of Education and Training guides high schools to develop matrices, specifications, test questions and instructions for marking periodic tests to ensure professional and technical requirements, refer to the appendix attached to the document.
According to this appendix, the periodic test of subjects assessed by high school scores will have a new matrix consisting of 2 parts: objective test (accounting for 7/10 points) and essay (accounting for 3/10 points).
The objective test section has many similarities with the high school graduation exam format with multiple choice, true-false and short answer formats.
For courses that do not have a "Short Answer" question format, all of the points for this section will be transferred to the "true-false" format.
Overall, the test will have 40% questions at the knowledge level, 30% questions at the comprehension level, and 30% questions at the application level.

Implementation will start from semester II of the 2024-2025 school year.
Currently, high schools use different periodic test matrices. For example, in math, some schools only use multiple choice questions, while others add an essay section worth 1-2 points.
