Trends in popular product groups
At the conference, representatives from Alibaba.com shared detailed information about the e-commerce platform with the aim of helping Vietnamese small and medium enterprises (SMEs) better understand and take advantage of the latest market opportunities. Sourcing activities on the platform showed that home and garden products are among the three most popular Vietnamese product categories on Alibaba.com. In the past three months, Vietnamese products in this category have increased by 64% compared to the same period last year in terms of potential buyers.
According to Alibaba.com, the trend of multifunctional products in the global market is growing rapidly. Driven by changes in the global environment, B2B buyers are increasingly demanding sustainable products that are functional, convenient, intelligent and cost-effective. This trend has opened up significant new market opportunities for suppliers. Examples of such products include modular furniture, smart furniture and composite furniture.
Other popular home products on Alibaba.com include affordable and practical products such as dining sets, kitchenware, home textiles, and storage and organization products. These products not only meet the needs of modern lifestyles but also provide a balance between quality and affordability, making them popular choices among consumers.
“We are committed to supporting the growth and success of SMEs in Vietnam by facilitating connections, providing knowledge and promoting online trading opportunities. We believe this will help them better tap into the potential of the global market,” said Roger Luo, Head of Southeast Asia at Alibaba.com.
