In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Tri Tin, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Journalists Association, said that the 2024 Spring Press Festival displays nearly 100 spring newspaper and magazine publications from central and local press agencies. The press publications are all of high quality, carefully invested in content and presentation, focusing on comprehensive and multi-dimensional reflection of all aspects of life, socio-economic development, and correct policies and decisions of the Party and State, demonstrating the solidarity, consensus, and unanimity of the people of the whole country in the past year, while clearly demonstrating the growth of Hai Phong press in the national press community.

The Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 is a meaningful political and cultural activity aimed at providing people, newspaper readers, radio listeners and television viewers of all ages with a panoramic view of the innovation and development of the press nationwide, including Hai Phong press. This is also an opportunity for press agencies to exchange, discuss expertise and share experiences.
Participating in the 2024 Hai Phong Giap Thin Spring Press Festival, in addition to the press agencies of the Port City such as Hai Phong Newspaper, Hai Phong Security Special Topic, Military Region 3 Newspaper, Vietnam Navy Newspaper, it also attracts many central press agencies, newspapers of neighboring provinces with permanent offices and representatives in Hai Phong such as Investment, Nhan Dan, Lao Dong, Thanh Nien newspapers... and many other newspapers and magazines.

In addition, this year's Spring Newspaper Festival displays 65 typical photos of "The Beauty of Hai Phong Border Guard Soldiers in the Port City", introducing to readers, people and tourists the development stages of the Port City in the past year 2023.
At the 2024 Spring Press Festival, the City Journalists Association awarded certificates of beautiful Tet Newspaper Covers to Hai Phong Newspaper, Hai Phong Security Special Topic, Vietnam Navy Newspaper, Military Region 3 Newspaper and presented many awards for outstanding radio and television journalism works and photojournalism works.
