On November 24, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association held a conference to promote investment and connect trade between Thanh Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province, Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association; representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, Thanh Hoa Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City, industry associations, more than 100 enterprises of Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the Southeast region.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Cao Tien Doan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province Business Association, emphasized that in Thanh Hoa province, there are more than 38,000 registered enterprises, of which more than 21,000 are operating and generating revenue.

Along with fulfilling its role as a representative organization for the business community, Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association has been very active in organizing and participating in networking activities to seek investment cooperation opportunities in countries around the world and with neighboring provinces. Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association is ready to act as a bridge between enterprises and investors of neighboring provinces and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Government; actively supporting investors, including enterprises and investors in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region, to implement projects and cooperate in business in Thanh Hoa Province.

At the conference, delegates were introduced to the potential and investment opportunities in Thanh Hoa province, the fields and projects that Thanh Hoa is interested in attracting investment and the province's preferential investment policies. During the conference, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, Ho Chi Minh City Business Association and enterprises exchanged and shared information about each other's potential and strengths, concerns about investment in industrial park infrastructure, industrial and agricultural production projects, prospects for building linkage chains and product consumption between Thanh Hoa enterprises and Ho Chi Minh City enterprises and the Southeast region.
Enterprises with industrial park, commercial zone and industrial production projects in Thanh Hoa assessed Thanh Hoa as a potential market and investment environment. Many opinions highly appreciated the spirit of administrative procedure reform and active support for enterprises and investors of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and localities. Enterprises also requested the provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches and sectors to continue strong administrative reform, unify units in solving issues related to project implementation and site clearance; requested the province, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, associations and unions to organize separate networking events for each field and industry in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi happily welcomed the delegates, representatives of Business Associations, and Enterprises who attended the Conference on Investment Promotion - Trade Connection Thanh Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City - Southeast Region. This is one of the activities that Thanh Hoa province is very interested in, supporting Business Associations in Thanh Hoa province to implement in order to promote cooperative relations between Thanh Hoa province, enterprises, and entrepreneurs in the province with localities and partners in provinces and cities across the country, especially Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefly introduced the potential and strengths of Thanh Hoa province, the outstanding results that Thanh Hoa has achieved in attracting investment, developing the economy, collecting budget, and developing the business community. Notably, the average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period of 2021 - 2025 is estimated at 10.13%. Of which, the first 9 months of 2024 reached 12.46%, ranking 2nd in the country; the whole year of 2024 is estimated to increase by 11.72%, exceeding the set plan of 11%, being in the group of provinces and cities with the largest GRDP scale in the country. As a province with 11 mountainous districts, starting from a difficult starting point, Thanh Hoa has made efforts in poverty reduction, the key is job creation. The province has policies to encourage the development of industry, handicrafts, job creation in rural and mountainous areas, tourism, trade and services. Thanh Hoa province always welcomes and welcomes enterprises and investors from all over the country, including enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region to study, explore opportunities and invest in Thanh Hoa province. Thanh Hoa commits to fully implement its responsibilities; always accompany and create the best favorable conditions for enterprises before, during and after investing, producing and doing business in the province; continue to create an equal, transparent and stable investment and business environment so that Thanh Hoa is truly an attractive and trustworthy destination for investors.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also shared the common difficulties that enterprises are facing, especially issues related to the environment, land, construction, and fire prevention and fighting. He discussed the opinions and recommendations of investors investing in Thanh Hoa. In his role as Deputy Head of the Provincial Investment Promotion Steering Committee, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles raised by investors, so that enterprises can effectively implement projects and conduct production and business.

At the conference, the Provincial Business Association, the Young Business Association, the Women Entrepreneurs Association and businesses from Thanh Hoa province, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Southeast region signed memoranda of understanding on cooperation, regulations on coordination and mutual support in trade promotion, investment attraction, connection, development cooperation, and project implementation in Thanh Hoa and other provinces and cities.
