This morning, April 11, Long An Provincial Party Committee held the 15th Conference (term XI) to evaluate the implementation of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution in the first quarter and to set out key tasks and directions in the second quarter. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - Nguyen Thanh Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut co-chaired the conference. Attending were the Central Party Building Committees.
At the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc approved the Report of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, submitted to the 15th Provincial Party Committee Conference on the draft report on the implementation of the Provincial Party Committee Resolution in the first quarter of 2022.
Notably, the estimated growth rate of gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first quarter of 2024 reached 4.83%, which is a positive growth rate, the highest compared to the same period in the last 3 years. Total state budget revenue is more than 8,600 billion VND, reaching about 40% of the estimate. Number Newly established enterprises increased by 39% and registered capital increased by 67%. Administrative reform and public administrative performance have made some positive progress.
In addition, social security policies are ensured, fully and promptly implemented. National defense, security, internal affairs and foreign affairs activities are maintained.
The work of building the Party and the political system continues to be seriously focused on; especially the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity continues to be strengthened, put into order and achieved some positive results.
In addition, the conference also heard the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - Hoang Dinh Can thoroughly grasp Program No. 51, dated March 7, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee to implement Resolution No. 44 of the Party Central Committee on the Strategy to protect the Fatherland in the new situation.
At the conference, delegates focused on giving opinions, discussing and discussing various fields, especially focusing on three main contents: GRDP growth rate; progress of key projects; and human resource training to serve the needs of industrialization and modernization.
Unanimously identifying 04 groups of tasks, specific, focused and key solutions as stated in the draft Resolution, the Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc directed localities to closely, proactively, synchronously, comprehensively and effectively lead the socio-economic development; promptly remove shortcomings in administrative procedure reform, attract investment, especially focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, creating all conditions for businesses to operate smoothly and effectively. In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary also directed relevant units to urgently determine the land price list close to the market price, ensuring the harmony of the "triple" interests of the State, land users and investors.
In addition, Long An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Duoc also directed party committees at all levels to focus on monitoring and urgently urging the complete overcoming of existing issues and limitations following the supervision conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee./.
