On the morning of April 22, comrade Nguyen Thanh Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the 68th meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, term XX, term 2020 - 2025 to discuss and give opinions on socio-economic development, Party building work and preparations for the 18th Session, the Special Session of the 14th Provincial People's Council.
Attending the conference were comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of the Central Party Committees; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Standing members of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, and localities.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary proposed that in the spirit of concentration, democracy and frankness, at this conference, the Provincial Party Standing Committee will review and give opinions on 14 contents related to socio-economic development, Party building, political system building within its authority and contents of preparation for the Special Session of the Provincial People's Council to be held in the coming time. Among them, there are some notable contents that the Provincial Party Standing Committee is requested to carefully study and contribute opinions before submitting to the Party Executive Committee according to regulations. Specifically, the contents on adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and the public investment plan for 2024; adjusting the investment policy related to the Ho Chi Minh road construction project, Cho Chu - Trung Son Intersection (section through Thai Nguyen province); Yen Lac Industrial Cluster Project (Phu Luong) and a number of public investment projects under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
Based on the discussion, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee requested the advisory agency to report and clarify some reasons for adjusting the projects; the legal compliance of the projects expected to be supplemented with capital plans; and the authority to decide on the policy of changing the purpose of forest use to other purposes.
Concluding the conference, on the basis of high consensus, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed on the policy and assigned the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee; advisory agencies, proposals to absorb the opinions of the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee at the conference, supplement, edit, and complete the content of the document to continue submitting to the competent authority and carry out the next steps, ensuring the correct procedures as well as the requirements on quality and progress as set out./.
