Central Council of Young Pioneers receives 3,000 sets of school supplies to donate to children in flood-hit areas

NDO – On September 26, in Quang Binh province, the Central Council of Young Pioneers coordinated with Thien Long Group Joint Stock Company to organize the "Color Festival" in 2024, with the participation of more than 500 students of Nam Ly Primary School No. 1.

According to Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Director of the Center for Supporting and Developing Vietnamese Children, Le Anh Quan, the number of learning tools that the Central Council of the Young Pioneers received within the framework of the Festival with the message "Overcoming natural disasters - Continuing the future", will be quickly delivered to children in difficult circumstances in 12 provinces and cities affected by storms and floods, including: Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Giang.

This year, responding to the theme of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the Central Youth Union "Year of Youth Volunteers", children participating in "Color Festival" will create works of art with the theme "I draw volunteer colors".

“This is not only a meaningful program to respond to the activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the “Three Ready” movement, 10 years of the “Year of Youth Volunteers”, 25 years of the “Summer Youth Volunteers” Campaign, but also serves as a forum for children to express their feelings, beliefs and pride in the care and guidance of the Youth Union and the members and youth who are always devoted to their beloved juniors and are pioneers for the community”, said comrade Le Anh Quan.

The festival took place in a lively and joyful atmosphere with meaningful and practical activities in a colorful space. In the experience areas, hundreds of children were immersed in a useful and fun space, painting to create personal items, and competing enthusiastically to receive valuable gifts.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 30 gifts to children with good achievements in studying and training and gave more than 500 gifts to children participating in the program.

The 2024 “Color Festival” will take place in 9 provinces and cities across the country, integrating many fun, useful and practical activities to interact with children across the country. The “I draw volunteer colors” contest is expected to be concluded and awarded this coming October.
