On the morning of June 12, the Central Propaganda Department held a national conference to assess the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW "on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle". The conference was held live from the Hanoi bridge and online to nearly 4,500 bridges nationwide.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department chaired and delivered a speech at the conference. Attending the conference were comrades of the Party Central Committee, representatives of leaders of central and local departments, ministries, branches and organizations.
Assess the situation of continuing to promote learning and following ideology, Regarding Ho Chi Minh's morality and style, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon said that over the past 2 years, the implementation of Conclusion No. 01 and the entire course's topic has been carried out seriously, focusing on quality control from the grassroots level, ensuring timeliness and unity between will and action in the entire Party and political system.

Provincial, municipal and central party committees launched extensive political activities with many profound topics such as: "Self-reflection, self-correction", "Honor is the most sacred and noble thing"; Lam Dong province organized a dramatization contest to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; Ba Ria-Vung Tau province had the model "Saturday listening to people speak"; Lao Cai province had the model of studying and following Uncle Ho associated with building new rural areas "Wide roads, bright lights, many flowers; people unanimously develop rural areas"; Ca Mau province, with the model of implementing the project "Youth Light"...;
Party committees at all levels have strengthened inspection and supervision of party organizations and party members in cultivating and training ethics, tightening internal discipline and order. Thereby, raising the sense of self-awareness and responsibility in every word and action of cadres and party members, especially the heads of party committees and authorities.
The work of praising, propagating and replicating typical examples in studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings has been innovative and convincing. More than 90% of localities and units nationwide have dedicated special pages and columns, with a total of more than 690 thousand news and articles promoting the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW.
The award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example" for the period 2021-2023 has attracted artists, journalists, cadres, party members and the masses to actively respond, contributing to promoting propaganda on studying and following Uncle Ho; building morality, personality and soul of Vietnamese people; promoting the values of truth - goodness - beauty; fighting, criticizing and repelling bad things, evil things, manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle...
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon emphasized 6 key groups of tasks that need to be implemented. In particular, continuing to lead, direct, thoroughly grasp, and raise awareness of the importance, practical and long-term significance of implementing Conclusion No. 01, in conjunction with the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee on Party building and rectification and the political system; regulations on exemplary responsibility, making the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style have more positive and effective contributions to the work of Party building and rectification and the political system, promoting socio-economic development, and strengthening people's trust.
Nearly 40 papers submitted and presented at the discussion conference evaluated the results of 2 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW at their agencies, units and localities, shared good experiences and models that need to be replicated.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, highly appreciated the efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of Conclusion No. 01. The results achieved vividly reflect the vitality and strong spread of the spirit of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo "on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle" throughout society.
Emphasizing some outstanding achievements in studying and following Uncle Ho, he stated that the Party building work on ethics has been promoted, harmoniously combining "building" and "fighting", strictly implementing discipline, order, improving the quality of administrative reform and civil service culture.
The task of fighting against corruption and negativity in the spirit of “no forbidden areas, no exceptions” has been promoted, focusing on preventing and combating the degradation of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres and party members. Inspection and supervision work is focused on, aiming to alert, warn, detect early, promptly prevent violations of Party discipline and State laws, ensuring that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle are carried out seriously, effectively and substantially.
Regarding some solutions to effectively implement Conclusion No. 01 in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that Party committees at all levels need to thoroughly grasp the Central Committee's viewpoints and the General Secretary's direction to further enhance awareness and actions to serve the Fatherland and the people, in the spirit of unity from top to bottom; top first, bottom last; inside first, outside last.
Party committees at all levels continue to promote the achieved results, focusing on implementing well the three contents: Studying Uncle Ho, following Uncle Ho and setting an example; making Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style truly permeate and become the foundation and spiritual driving force of society; arousing the aspirations and determination of the entire Party and society to comprehensively and synchronously promote the cause of innovation, industrialization and modernization of the country.
Accordingly, continue to lead, direct, thoroughly grasp, and raise awareness of the importance, practical, and long-term significance of implementing Conclusion No. 01, in conjunction with resolutions and conclusions on Party building and rectification and the political system, regulations on exemplary responsibility; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle in conjunction with promoting the system of national, cultural, family values, and standards of Vietnamese people; actively build and implement revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and party members in the new period.
Improve the quality of Party cell activities, incorporate the content of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style into regular and specialized activities with practical and specific contents, suitable to the characteristics of the situation and political tasks of the locality and unit; continue to innovate the content and methods of propaganda in many vivid forms, suitable to each specific target; promptly discover and propagate typical collectives and individuals, good practices, new initiatives, commend, reward and replicate advanced models; criticize and prevent negative phenomena, strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fight against wrong, hostile and anti-Party, State and regime viewpoints.
Party committees at all levels regularly inspect, urge, summarize and review to promote creative and effective ways of working, tighten discipline, persistently and resolutely fight against corruption and negativity, and at the same time rectify and eliminate the mindset of retreating, avoiding and shirking responsibility among a number of cadres and party members...

At the conference, delegates watched a short play about the image of President Ho Chi Minh: Unity is strength, performed by the artists of the Vietnam Drama Theater; VR virtual reality exhibition displaying "Each souvenir tells a story - Collection of gifts from Uncle Ho 1945-1969".
