Nearly 30 billion VND in scholarships for new students of Dong A University

On September 18, Dong A University held the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year with the participation of leaders of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, leaders of departments, the offices of the Consulates General of Japan and China in Da Nang and more than 3,000 students of Dong A University.

Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highly appreciated the teaching and training work of Dong A University.

On this occasion, Dong A University also awarded scholarships for talents and learning encouragement to new students in 2024 with a total value of nearly 30 billion VND. At the same time, the whole school joined hands to support 500 million VND to support people in the North to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi).

This is a contribution from each teacher and staff of 1 day's salary, each student of 1 cup of morning coffee; from putting aside the student's art talent programs and the Mid-Autumn Festival of the children of the school's staff and lecturers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, acknowledged the efforts and highly appreciated the long-term vision of Dong A University in developing evenly in scale and quality of training at both the campus in Da Nang City and the Branch in Dak Lak province.

At the Opening Ceremony, the school's Cherry Blossom Scholarship Fund honored and awarded 240 talented scholarships to new students with high entrance results in the 2024 admissions. The total value of the 2024 talented and study encouragement scholarships awarded on this occasion was up to 29.2 billion VND.

At the same time, 4 excellent new students majoring in Japanese Language also received valuable scholarships from the Vietnam - Japan Bridge Scholarship Fund. In addition, 21 students with excellent results in the 2023-2024 school year were also honored and rewarded at the program.

It is known that at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year at Dak Lak Branch on September 11, Dong A University also awarded hundreds of scholarships (nearly 5 billion VND) to new students.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Da Nang City also awarded Dong A University a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City to the collective that has had outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive No. 38-CT/TU dated September 5, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on continuing to innovate emulation and reward work, period 2014-2024.
