The Department of Information and Communications of Binh Thuan province said that recently, telecommunications enterprises in the province have built many microwave transmission lines from the mainland to Phu Quy island district, aiming to complete the telecommunications infrastructure for this locality to develop socio-economy, with a focus on promoting digital transformation.

Of which, VNPT Binh Thuan has built 3 microwave transmission lines from the mainland to Phu Quy district (Ta Zon mountain point to Cao Cat mountain point), with a capacity of 4.5 Gbps. Viettel Binh Thuan has built 4 microwave transmission lines (from Phong Phu Quarry point to Cao Cat mountain point and from Bau Trang point to the Naval Radar station point), with a capacity of 9.2 Gbps. Meanwhile, Mobifone Binh Thuan rents transmission lines from other telecommunications enterprises to develop services.

According to the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Thuan province, Phu Quy district currently has 32 mobile information broadcasting stations. Of which, there are 11 Vinaphone mobile information broadcasting stations, 13 Mobifone mobile information broadcasting stations and 8 Viettel mobile information broadcasting stations.

With efforts to complete telecommunications infrastructure, in 2023, Phu Quy district's digital transformation index ranked 7/10 district-level localities, achieving good results, basically meeting the provision of telecommunications services to serve political tasks as well as local socio-economic development.

According to the transmission infrastructure development plan in Phu Quy district of telecommunications enterprises, in 2024, Phu Quy district will increase its total transmission capacity from 13.7 Gbps to 19.1 Gbps, an increase of 5.4 Gbps.

In particular, VNPT Binh Thuan will invest in developing an additional backbone line (microwave) with a capacity of 3 Gbps from Ta Zon mountain point to Cao Cat mountain point, increasing the total number of transmission lines to 4 lines with a capacity of 7.5 Gbps. Viettel Binh Thuan will invest in upgrading the transmission line with a capacity of 2.4 Gbps, increasing the total capacity to 11.6 Gbps.

Phu Quy District People's Committee said that in order to continue implementing the digital transformation goal, in the coming time, this locality will focus on effectively deploying the province's administrative procedure settlement information system, focusing on digitizing records, administrative procedure settlement results, and reusing digitized data. Receiving, circulating, processing and returning results of administrative procedure settlement records on the system, ensuring that 100% of records are updated into the system...

In addition, effectively exploit and use the equipment that has been invested in at the Reception and Result Delivery Department at district and commune levels. Implement practical and effective solutions to increase the rate of online application submission and online payment.

Coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications in the implementation of tasks and plans on digital transformation in 2024, under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee in the fields of: transportation, tourism, health, sports. Develop non-cash payment methods, underground telecommunication cable systems in the district to ensure urban aesthetics.
