On December 26, the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest held a press conference in Hanoi. The contest, themed Radiant Vietnam, was directed by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training, and co-organized by Tien Phong newspaper.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 said: "The contest not only honors physical beauty, affirms the role and value of Vietnamese women, but also acts as a cultural bridge, arouses national pride, and connects traditional values ​​with modernity. With 4 pillars: Beauty - Culture - Intelligence - Dedication, the contest aims to find excellent representatives, converging comprehensive beauty in terms of beauty, intelligence, cultural background, soul and courage".

Journalist Phung Cong Suong said that this year, the contest will be held from the end of 2024 to 2025, lasting for 2 years instead of 1 year like previous seasons. The organizing committee is determined to elevate the Miss Vietnam contest to a new level, entering a new phase.

“Entering a new era, the 2024 Miss Vietnam contest will not stand outside the general flow of the country,” journalist Phung Cong Suong affirmed.

According to journalist Phung Cong Suong, the contest still respects natural beauty and does not accept cosmetic surgery, but there are exceptions, depending on the case, the Organizing Committee will meet and make a decision.

The Miss Vietnam 2024 contest will start from universities in the North - Central - South from January 2025. Contestants will continue to participate in many creative, cultural and volunteer activities in Hanoi, Thua Thien - Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

After that, the contestants will return to the heroic land of Quang Tri to attend the flag-raising ceremony at the 17th parallel on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. The final destination in the 6-month journey of the Miss Vietnam contest is the ancient capital of Hue.
