Many career opportunities from great recruitment needs
Large corporations and businesses such as Canon, Arcadyan Technology, NEWEB Vietnam, etc. often have a need to recruit technology engineers, especially in the fields of: Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, automation, software development.
Mr. Hirayama, Director of Information Technology Department of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: "This year, we are expanding production and applying Artificial Intelligence - AI to the process, so we need to recruit many IT engineers and AI experts. We are cooperating with major universities to find potential candidates."
This was shared by Mr. Hirayama at the "Job Fair 2025" organized by the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi last weekend in Hanoi with the participation of many students and 76 businesses in the fields of information technology, electronic engineering, banking and high-tech manufacturing.
Mr. Andy Lin, Human Resources Administration Director of Arcadyan Technology-Vietnam Co., Ltd. also provided information at the "2025 Job Fair" that Arcadyan Technology-Vietnam highly values both experienced candidates and new graduates.

Professor, Dr. Chu Duc Trinh, Principal of University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi |
According to Professor, Dr. Chu Duc Trinh, Rector of the University of Technology, along with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the Party and Government are determined to develop the country based on the pillar of science and technology, taking science and technology as the driving force to promote the development of all economic and social fields; determined to invest in science and technology, digital transformation, bringing digital technology tools and artificial intelligence to every industry, every home and every person.
"This is an opportunity for the whole country, every industry, every field, every business, every university and of course a great opportunity for all young people" - Professor, Dr. Chu Duc Trinh shared with students.
Good expertise and good skills
The era of semiconductors and AI brings many potentials and opportunities for students studying technology. However, it can be seen that along with the attractiveness of the profession is also fierce competition. Although the demand for human resources is high, the recruitment process in the technology industry is also very strict.
Mr. Pham Hoang Vi, Head of Infrastructure Services, Bang Huu Technology Joint Stock Company, said: "We recruit 20 to 30 employees each batch, but after training we only retain one or two people. The technology industry is still a "hot" industry, but that does not mean there is no competition."
According to Professor, Dr. Chu Duc Trinh, in training, engineering and technology are fields that are selective of students. The knowledge and training programs are difficult, so not all students are able to learn them.
“It can be said that this is an open and integrated field, but it can also be said that this is a closed field, because only good people with enough knowledge and skills can participate. In particular, the discipline in working in this field is also very high” - The Principal of the University of Technology commented.
According to the Principal of the University of Technology, to be successful in this transformation, technology students need to prepare themselves with the best knowledge and skills. To meet the requirements of businesses, students not only need to build a solid foundation of professional knowledge but also need to have good practical skills, creative thinking and foreign language proficiency.

Technology students realize that specialized knowledge must be equipped with good skills. |
“In the preliminary round, we require a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a minimum English IELTS of 6.0” - Mr. Pham Hoang Vi provided information.
In fact, many students have good professional knowledge when graduating but still have difficulty applying for jobs because of lack of practical skills and foreign languages.
As a fourth-year student majoring in Robotics Engineering at Chu Thanh Long University of Technology, he said he felt confused during an interview when the employer asked a lot about practical skills.
Nguyen Duy Loi, a second-year student in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, said that although the training program is difficult and requires good students with a good foundation in natural sciences to be able to follow, it is necessary to determine that this does not mean that after graduation, they will automatically have an advantage. Therefore, from the first years, many students are aware of the need to equip themselves with additional skills such as foreign languages.
Recruiters also emphasize the importance of foreign languages in the technology industry. Mr. Fann Yang, Recruitment Director of NEWEB Vietnam Co., Ltd., advised: "Students of technology schools often have a good foundation, but if they add foreign language skills, whether English, Chinese, Japanese or Korean... their career opportunities will be much wider."
