Hanoi requests inspection and handling of violations of "castle" building in Ba Dinh

On November 28, the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee sent a document to the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District, conveying the direction of Mr. Duong Duc Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee regarding violations of construction order on Doi Can Street (Doi Can Ward, Ba Dinh District) reported by the press.

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan assigned Ba Dinh District People's Committee to urgently inspect and handle violations (if any) according to authority and regulations of law; report to the City People's Committee in November 2023 (through the Department of Construction for synthesis).

Hanoi Department of Construction is assigned to monitor, urge and guide Ba Dinh District People's Committee to implement according to regulations; synthesize and report to the City People's Committee according to assigned functions and tasks.

Previously, the press reported information about a single-family home construction project near alley 90, Doi Can street (Doi Can ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) with signs of violating construction order, causing a stir in public opinion. This project is being built with many floors, imposing, different from many other single-family homes on Doi Can street.

The "castle" was built on Doi Can street (Doi Can ward, Ba Dinh district).

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Doi Can Ward, this project started construction in late 2020 and has not been completed yet. This project was built in European architecture. According to this leader, this project has some violations of construction order, such as: Wrong construction density; some floors are built a few dozen centimeters higher; the mezzanine is built incorrectly compared to the permit; the top floor was licensed to build a penthouse but now has a shrine built .
