Of these, more than 19,300 households are covered by the project “Management of food production and trading establishments in markets in Hanoi in the period of 2022-2025”. To date, 1,606 food trading establishments in markets in 9 districts have been granted identification plates.
Hai Ba Trung district alone has 186 plates, making it one of the districts with the largest number of licensed production and business establishments in Hanoi.
With 113 establishments in the area having just been granted identification plates in the second phase of 2023, Mr. Nguyen The Hiep requested that the establishments continue to comply with food safety regulations, deserving to be a safe and trustworthy address for the people of the capital.
At the same time, it is requested that the remaining food production establishments and businesses in Hai Ba Trung district complete the conditions to soon be granted identification plates.
Referring to this content, Mr. Doan Duc Bao - Deputy Head of the Economic Department of Hai Ba Trung District also said that recently, the district has strengthened food safety management at markets, in order to serve people and ensure consumer rights.
Hai Ba Trung District also facilitates management, inspection and supervision activities of functional agencies and food production and trading establishments in the market.
According to Mr. Bao, there are 7 markets in the area covered by the project, of which 2 are class 1 markets: Hom - Duc Vien market and Cho Mo commercial center (Dong Tam market is undergoing market classification procedures), 4 are class 3 markets: Vinh Tuy, Nguyen Cong Tru, Quynh Mai, Bach Khoa.
Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee has directed wards with markets and market management boards to deploy a survey of 409 food production and trading establishments in the market according to the form of the Department of Industry and Trade.
Require food producers and traders in the market to sign a commitment, regularly inspect, take samples periodically and suddenly test food in the market to ensure food hygiene and safety. Recently, in Hai Ba Trung district, there have been no cases of food hygiene and safety violations.
With synchronous participation, up to now, the district has had 73 food production and trading establishments in the market granted identification signs (phase 1).
In the second phase alone, 113 food production and trading establishments in the market were granted identification signs, including 49 establishments in class 1 markets, 64 establishments in class 2, class 3 and unclassified markets.
Notably, this identification plate is valid for 3 years, after which the establishments will be thoroughly inspected again, and if they meet the requirements, they will continue to be granted the plate. On the contrary, within 3 years, if the establishment violates food safety regulations, the plate will be revoked.
