Cold rain covered the North last night and this morning. The temperature at 6am today, January 27, at Ha Dong station, Hanoi recorded 9.7 degrees Celsius.

In other provinces and cities in the North, the temperature at 6am is generally below 10 degrees Celsius, of which Mau Son (Lang Son) is 0.5 degrees Celsius, Sa Pa (Lao Cai) and Trung Khanh (Cao Bang) are both 4.6 degrees Celsius, Dong Van (Ha Giang) is 5 degrees Celsius.

This evening and tonight, a cold front will affect the Northeast, then the Northwest, North Central and some places in the Central Central. Northeast winds inland will gradually increase to level 2-3, coastal areas level 4, gusting to level 5-6.

The North and Thanh Hoa continue to be cold, Nghe An and Ha Tinh are very cold, Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue are cold. Today, the North has scattered rain and light rain.

Day and night of January 28, the mountainous areas of the North will have temperatures of 5-7 degrees Celsius, some places below 3 degrees Celsius, other places in the North and Thanh Hoa will have temperatures of 10-12 degrees Celsius, Nghe An-Ha Tinh will have temperatures of 12-14 degrees Celsius, Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue will have temperatures of 14-16 degrees Celsius.

The widespread cold spell in the North and Thanh Hoa is likely to last until around January 29, the cold spell in Nghe An and Ha Tinh will last until January 28, and snow and ice may occur in mountainous areas.
