On the evening of May 14, at Tam Chuc National Tourist Area, Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ha Nam province solemnly held the opening ceremony of Ha Nam Culture - Tourism Week 2023 and the Vietnam - Japan Traditional Art Exchange Program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the opening ceremony of Ha Nam Culture - Tourism Week 2023.

The program is divided into three main parts, part I takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the contents of the Opening Ceremony of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023 with the theme "Ha Nam - Connecting Journey" and the program of traditional art performances between Vietnam and Japan in response to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan; Performance of traditional Japanese Kyogen comedies.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented the Decision recognizing the Tien Noi I Bronze Drum and Giau Pagoda Stele as national treasures to leaders of Ha Nam province.

Part II from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., broadcast live on VTV2, Vietnam Television, includes the ceremony to announce and receive the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing the Tien Noi I Bronze Drum (Ha Nam Provincial Museum) and Giau Pagoda Stele (Dinh Xa Commune, Phu Ly City) as National Treasures; the Decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on 4 historical and cultural relics and scenic spots as national relics, including: Lat Son Base Historical Relic, Thanh Son Commune, Kim Bang District; Bat Canh Son Scenic Relic, Tuong Linh Commune, Kim Bang District; Tam Chuc Scenic Complex, Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District; Nam Cao Tomb and Memorial Historical Relic, Hoa Hau Commune, Ly Nhan District.

Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the decision to rank 4 cultural, historical and scenic relics of Ha Nam province as national relics.

The art program with the theme “Pride of Ha Nam” has 5 chapters: “There is a Ha Nam like that”, “Cultural exchange”, “Pilgrimage route”, “Tam Chuc – Spiritual eco-tourism area” and “Fragrance of Ha Nam”. Part III is fireworks to celebrate the event at Thuy Dinh area, Tam Chuc tourist area.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, Mr. YAMADA Takio, spoke at the ceremony.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Mr. YA-MA-DA Ta-ki-o, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam expressed his gratitude for attending the opening ceremony of the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. YA-MA-DA Ta-ki-o affirmed: "This year, Japan and Vietnam celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. The relationship between the two countries is assessed to be at its best ever and has an unprecedentedly strong connection in all fields. One of the localities that has become a model for the Japan-Vietnam friendly cooperation is Ha Nam province. A performance demonstrating the spirit of cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan was staged and performed by artists at the opening ceremony of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023.

Referring to the diplomatic culture of the two countries and peoples through the traditional art performance Kyogen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam YA-MA-DA Ta-ki-ô said: Kyogen is a type of comedy first born in Japan with a 650-year history. The performance can bring laughter to many Vietnamese audiences because our two countries have similarities in humor. Laughter is a basic element in national culture. Has the mutual "sympathy and understanding" in laughter also contributed to the strong development of Japan-Vietnam relations? Through today's traditional comedy performance Kyogen, I hope you can once again discover the depth of the cultural connection between Japan and Vietnam."

In the sacred atmosphere towards the 2567th Buddha's Birthday, delegates, Buddhist dignitaries, Buddhists and numerous tourists respectfully offered incense to pray for peace and prosperity of the two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Japan; prayed for world peace and the 50th anniversary of the good diplomatic relationship between the two countries and peoples.
