Son La implements Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo in the spirit of 5 "acceleration, breakthrough"

On March 26, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the Conference to deploy Plan 52 of the Son La Provincial People's Committee on implementing Resolution No. 03 dated January 9, 2025 of the Government promulgating the Action Program and Plan No. 296 dated February 17, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee implementing Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Attending the Conference were leaders of provincial departments and branches; Universities, colleges; Research Institutes, Scientists, Associations and enterprises in the province.

On February 25, 2025, the People's Committee of Son La province issued Plan No. 52 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. It requires: Clearly define the responsibilities of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, socio-political organizations and heads of agencies and units in developing plans and organizing implementation.

At the conference, delegates discussed and exchanged key directions and tasks for breakthrough development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the period of 2025-2030. Departments, branches and sectors proposed key tasks and solutions to serve research, development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. Scientific units and organizations contributed opinions and advice on breakthrough contents, focus on research, application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation to promote the potential strengths of Son La province, in accordance with the spirit of 5 "acceleration, breakthrough", which are: Acceleration, breakthrough to spread digital technology to all areas of the economy, contributing to promoting economic growth of over 8% in 2025 and at double digits in the following years; Acceleration, breakthrough in digitalization of economic sectors, creating a leap in productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness; Accelerate and make breakthroughs in digital infrastructure development, build a solid foundation for the digital economy, prioritize and identify key points; Accelerate and make breakthroughs in digital human resource development, equip knowledge and skills for future generations, ready to seize opportunities in the digital age; Accelerate and make breakthroughs in the development of digital government, digital society, digital citizens, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, serve people and businesses.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong requested all levels, sectors, localities and units to promote the application of science, technology and digital transformation in all areas of life and society, focusing on promoting the potential and advantages of the province in developing agriculture associated with tourism. Organize the implementation of the Project to build Son La into a Center for processing agricultural products in the Northwest region; Son La High-Tech Agricultural Zone in Moc Chau town. Implement growth model innovation, economic restructuring, sustainable development of energy infrastructure based on the potential advantages of the province, associated with the arrangement of the organizational apparatus according to Conclusion No. 127/2025 of the Politburo.
